Matthew Alex Montoya
<p>Matthew Alex Montoya, age 52, beloved father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. Matthew served as a Chaplain and toured with "Up With People"; he was involved with Church Ministries; and was a past owner of a pre-school in Arizona. </p> <p>Some of Matthew's hobbies and interests include, Disney Land, dancing at matanza's, sampling food at Costco, and helping the elderly. His favorite color was blue for the Blessed Mother Mary and his pride and joy were his daughters.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his wife Eva Marie Montoya. </p> <p>Matthew is survived by his loving daughters, Grace Katherine Dickson, Mary-Therese Anastasia Montoya, and Ashley Claire Beeding; and granddaughter, Brilynn Dickson. Also surviving are his loving parents, Fred and Grace Montoya; siblings, Karen Montoya Dickerson and husband Scott, Deborah Montoya Schultz and husband Bill, Sandra Lynn Tetrick and husband Tim; and other numerous relatives and friends. Matthew will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched. </p> <p>Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary , 9420 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 23, 2020, 1:00 pm, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl NE (corner of Lomas & Tennessee), Albuquerque. Interment will take place at 3:00 pm at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
