Janice Marie Riggs

Janice Marie Riggs, 66, of Wayne Lakes, Ohio, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 15, 2020. She was born on January 22, 1954, in Newport, Rhode Island, to the late Herman A. Riggs and Sally (Eplett) Franke. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff DeBrosse. Janice was a hard-working woman who spent her days as a machinist at KTH for 25 years, finally retiring two years ago. Janice enjoyed her short retirement, working in her yard and gardens, playing cards and loving her fur-babies. She loved to cook and bake and feed her friends and neighbors. She was loved dearly and will be missed. She is survived by her sisters, Kim (Mitch) Aures, of Orange Park, Florida, and Judy Riggs (Chris) Hahn, of Fleming Island, Florida; her nieces and nephews, Jenny Aures, Andy Aures, Joanna Hahn, and Marisa Cartafalsa; and her great niece, Kaidyn Cartafalsa; her sister-in-law Ruth DeBrosse; and her dearest friend, Mike Yeagle of Palestine, Ohio. Janice’s family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. A private burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington, Ohio at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society, 7053 N State Route 49, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
