Arlene Mavis Gilbert

Gilbert, Arlene Mavis - Age 91, of Burton, died October 18, 2020. Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Saturday October 24 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. (for those who will not attend a livestream of the funeral will be available at Mrs. Gilberts page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.)Visitation will be held 11 AM until the time of the funeral Saturday at the funeral home. Interment at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Those desiring may make contributions to The American Lung Association. Arlene was born March 28, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Clarence and Lillian (Curtis) Twining. She was a 1947 graduate of Flint Northern High School and attended GMI. Arlene married Donald Roy Dutton in 1948 in Flint, he preceded her in death in 1981. She then married Maurice Arthur Gilbert in 1983 in Flushing, he preceded her in death in 2001. Arlene worked for DePatie Fluid Power in Kalamazoo as a secretary and purchasing agent for 23 years before retiring in 1983. She is survived by her son, Steven (Paula) Dutton of Muskegon; step-sons, Ralph (Ellen) Gilbert of Burton, Paul (Lisa) Gilbert of Flint; grandchildren, Heath Dutton, Brett (Andrea) Dutton, Heather (Brent) Boeskool, Todd Gilbert, Megan (Austin) Zidar, Jonathan Gilbert, Steve (Alycia) Kemme; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
