Juanita DeHart

<p>Juanita Young DeHart made her debut to this world on October 15,1954. She was born to loving parents J.C. Young &amp; Zerlar Lee Preston Young, and was the 2nd of 5 siblings who were raised in Sunnyside, Houston, Texas. Juanita attended Evan E. Worthing High School and James Madison High School; however, she ultimately earned her GED by completing night classes at Houston Community College in 1977.She confessed and demonstrated her love for Christ at an early age and gained her spiritual foundation at South Union Church of Christ. She built upon that foundation as a faithful member and prayer counselor at Lakewood Church under the pastoral leadership of John Osteen. She married (George) Wayne DeHart in October of 1972, and in 1973, they welcomed a beautiful bundle of joy named T-ata, whom she loved with all she had. In an effort to better herself and provide for her family, Juanita took advantage of an on the job opportunity and earned a certificate in Industrial Drafting and Design in 1977. She went on to become a valued employee at several esteemed energy corporations including Baker Hughes, Haliburton, and she even worked for NASA designing parts for the space shuttle! Juanita was a unique, incredibly intelligent, free-spirit with a myriad of talents and abilities. From an early age, she was always an exceptional artist. She taught herself how to write calligraphy, she learned to play the harp, and she was a published author of well over 100 inspirational poems, which she often shared via her website. Juanita DeHart was affectionately known as &quot;Grandmother Juanita&quot; to her 3 grandchildren, whom she adored, cherished, and prayed for continuously. She instilled the love of God in them and made sure they always knew that she was just a phone call away. While she had a deep love for family, Juanita loved the Lord the most. She absorbed all things Scripture and her obvious anointing was apparent to all she encountered. As a child, she dreamed of being a nun and being married to God. For many years, she looked forward to seeing Him face to face, On October 15, 2020, destiny delivered her dream, and she celebrated her first heavenly birthday with her Heavenly Father. Waiting to greet her at the celestial celebration are her parents, J.C. &amp; Zerlar Young, her sister Linda Moses, brother, Jeffrey C. Young, Sr., and nephews, Tyron &amp; Travis Young. She leaves behind to treasure her memory, her only child, T-ata Myeshia DeHart, her sisters Theresa Nelson (Rodney), Tiffany Braodnax (Darrell), granddaughter, Jazmine DeHart, grandsons, Jamellle Williams (Josselyn), Deondre Flanagan (Ferdonna), her 3 aunts, Willie Young, Lizzie Young, and Dorothy Preston, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Arrangements are under the direction of Wingate Funerals and Cremations, 13314 Almeda Road, Houston, Texas 77045.
