Alice Ayleen Berry, 79, of Melrose passed from this life on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. She was a native of Bostwick and lifelong resident of Putnam County and had attended the Assemblies of God Church. She had worked as a hairdresser for many years. In her leisure time, Alice enjoyed going to yard sales and working on puzzles. She was happiest when spending time and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Bobby Willis and Ron Willis (Genevieve), siblings, Elzie Glisson (Linda), Clyde Glisson (Rose) and Merry Lee Turner, a special niece, Beverly Kirkland (Jerry) as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Jeremy Rea officiating. Burial will take place in Bostwick Cemetery at a later date. Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at Alice’s Book of Memories page at www.johnsonoverturffunerals.com .
