Jose Manuel Hernandez Jr

Jose Manuel Hernandez Jr., 33, of Paul, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020.

Jose was born May 31, 1987 in Jerome, Idaho.  He resided on the Hidden Valley Dairy Farm in Paul, Idaho. Jose was the most kind hearted and unselfish person.  Many people have expressed what a great guy he was, always willing to go above and beyond for others.  He was an exceptional brother as well as a superb son.  He will always be loved and forever missed.  Jose worked as a lube technician at the Burley WalMart.  He graduated from Dietrich High School in 2005 and earned an A.A. Degree at the College of Southern Idaho in Mechanics.  He played football in high school and earned the District Athlete of the Year award in 2005.  He also earned the Gold Technician Award at WalMart. 

Jose is survived by his father Jose Hernandez; mother Angeles Hernandez; sister, Laura Ortiz (Hernandez); 2 nephews, brother in law Germain Ortiz; close friend Daren and Jenni Dixson; 1 niece; and Patti Macias.

Jose’s family would like to give a special thank you to the Dixson and Macias family for their love and friendship.  Thank you to all our family and friends for their support in our time of sorrow.

Funeral Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Services will conclude with burial at the Rupert Cemetery.  Rosary for family and friend will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Hansen Mortuary. 710 6th Street Rupert. Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary Rupert, Idaho.

José nació el 31 de mayo de 1987 en Jerome, Idaho. Residía en Hidden Valley Dairy Farm en Paul, Idaho. José era la persona más bondadosa y desinteresada. Mucha gente ha expresado lo gran chico que era, siempre dispuesto a ir más allá por los demás. Fue un hermano excepcional y un hijo magnífico. Siempre será amado y extrañado para siempre. José trabajó como técnico de lubricación en Burley WalMart. Se graduó de Dietrich High School en 2005 y obtuvo un título de A.A. Licenciatura en Mecánica en el College of Southern Idaho. Jugó fútbol americano en la escuela secundaria y ganó el premio al Atleta del Año del Distrito en 2005. También ganó el premio Gold Technician Award en WalMart.
A José le sobreviven su padre José Hernández; madre Ángeles Hernández; hermana, Laura Ortiz (Hernández); 2 sobrinos, el cuñado Germain Ortiz; amigo cercano Daren y Jenni Dixson; 1 sobrina; y Patti Macias.
La familia de José desea agradecer especialmente a la familia Dixson y Macias por su amor y amistad. Gracias a toda nuestra familia y amigos por su apoyo en nuestro momento de dolor.
Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo a las 11:30 a.m. el miércoles 21 de octubre de 2020 en la Iglesia Católica St. Nicholas. Los servicios concluirán con el entierro en el cementerio Rupert. El rosario para familiares y amigos se realizará de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m. Martes 20 de octubre de 2020 en Hansen Mortuary. 710 6th Street Rupert. Los servicios están bajo la dirección de Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary Rupert, Idaho.
