Donald L. Mallonee Reisterstown, Maryland Obituary

Donald L. Mallonee

On the Morning of October 18th, Donald L. Mallonee, 84, of Baltimore, Maryland went home to be with the Lord. He was the son of the late John and Hilda (nee Weckesser) Mallonee. He was the loving husband of the late Catherine E. (nee Wagner) Mallonee, who preceded him in death in December 1990. He was the beloved father of his one and only son and best friend, Keith L. Mallonee and daughter-in-law Kristine Kimbrel-Mallonee of Reisterstown. He is survived by his loving sister Mary Meehling of Pasadena. He was also fortunate to have special friends, Dora Wilgis, Sharon Newell and James (Bob) Ozman who were all wonderful neighbors to him and helped him with daily activities. Five of his siblings, Betty Makowski of Abingdon, Doris Humphreys Erma Schaeffler, Ruth Jones, and John Mallonee preceded him in death. “Mr. Don” as many knew him as, grew up in the city of Hampden for most of his life. Donald was drafted into the Army at an early age and once out, worked very hard as a Carpenter for the rest of his life to provide for his family until his retirement. Family and friends knew him as a larger-than-life gentleman, that was known for taking in all around him until there was something of importance to say. He was a good friend and neighbor to anyone that needed a hand. He was beloved by many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 23rd from 11am-12pm at Eline Funeral Home in Reisterstown. Interment in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville thereafter. Masks must be worn inside the funeral home. Remember social distancing. A maximum of 40 people are allowed in the funeral home.
