<p>From O&#39;Donnells, St. Mary&#39;s Bay, NL<br /> Hanlon, Derrick Douglas October 18, 1966 - September 28, 2020 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, brother, uncle and brother-in-law Derrick Hanlon. He was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Laura (nee Hickey) Hanlon and sister Josephine. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his: daughter Samantha, sisters; Leona, Loretta and Joan, brother Nicholas, nieces; Amy, Christina and Darlene, nephews; Aaron, Colin, Bradley, Trevor and Reginald, sister- in -law Rosemarie, Brothers-in-law; Ben, Jim, Len and John, special friend Nicholas, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to all the staff and residents at Eason&#39;s personal care home. If friends so desire, donations in Derrick&#39;s memory can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association. Derrick will forever be remembered for his infectious smile, caring spirit and devotion towards his family. Due to COVID - 19 Restrictions and these unprecedented times. Visitation will be held prior to mass. Cremation has taken place, resting at Good Shepherd Parish Church, St. Joseph&#39;s, St. Mary&#39;s Bay. The family will receive visitors on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 10:30 AM to 12:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM with interment to follow at the Old Sacred Heart Cemetery, O&#39;Donnell&#39;s.
