     Jessica Rae Borquez of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on Friday, October 16th, 2020 at the age of 29.

     Jessica was born to parents Sharmane Harker Borquez and Duane Borquez on November 27, 1990 in Denver, CO. She grew up as the 3rd eldest child of four and attended Logan-Magnolia High School in Logan, IA. Jessica worked in the hospitality industry as well as several years working as a Nursing Aide in long-term care.

     Jessica has one daughter; eight year-old Kaylana Borquez of which she co-parented with Thomas Lathrop. Jessica had many passions in life, including her daughter Kaylana. Jessica was also passionate about life itself and getting the most from it. Those who remember Jessica well will recall her infectious smile, her energy, and her values that put family as number one. Her spirit is still among us and we rest with ease knowing that she is now what she truly longed for; to be free.

     Jessica is survived by her daughter, Kaylana Borquez; her sisters, Samantha Borquez and Lindsey Borquez; her brother, Anthony Harker; her mother, Sharmane Borquez; and her grandmother, Donnel Harker. She is preceded in death by her father, Dwayne Borquez; her grandfather, John W. Harker; and her grandmother, Sandra Harker.
