Alton "Reigh" Crowell

Alton Reigh Crowell October 29, 1947-October 17, 2020 Reigh passed away October 17, 2020, in Halifax, NS. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife Leona (Bethune), sons Jeff(Kerry) Kemptville, Troy(Holly) Sandford, and daughter Racheal(Jeremy) West Pubnico. Grandchildren Michael, Brooke, Brittany (Nigel), Jarron (Chelsea), Jaden(Vanessa), and Alexis. Great-granddaughter Adley. Reigh is also survived by his siblings Lawrence(Florence) South Ohio, William(Lida) Kemptville, Donna Veinot(Basil) Northfield, Gordon(Mary Ann) Kemptville, Laura Lee Seamone(Gary) New Germany, Michael(Sharon) Kemptville, Timothy(Nancy) Pleasant Valley. He is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, Earl & Sadie(Annis)Crowell, and sisters Eleanor and Carla. Reigh was born in South Ohio and lived in Kemptville all his life. Reigh worked many years in the woods and operated many types of heavy equipment. He was very mechanically minded and was always repairing something for family and friends. He had oxen and horses and participated in ox hauls, and enjoyed watching horse pulls in his later years. After retiring, Reigh enjoyed working in his woodlot and puttering around in the garage. He had a great sense of humour and loved his family so much. He will be missed greatly and will forever be in our hearts. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth.
