<p>Rosa Jean Richmond, 82 of Mexia, passed away on October 18, 2020 at her residence.&nbsp; Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Dabney &amp; Reverend David Snow, officiating. Interment will follow at Mexia Cemetery.&nbsp; Family visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Johno Dabney, Jacob Dabney, Bennie Murphy, Billy Sterling, Thomas Tindell and R.J. Gilbert. Honorary pallbearer is Don High.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mrs. Richmond was born on August 2, 1938 in McComb, Mississippi.&nbsp; She married Albert Richmond in August of 1956 at the Pike County Courthouse in Magnolia, Mississippi.&nbsp; She worked as a spinner at the Mexia Cotton Mill and retired from food service at the Mexia State School.&nbsp; Mrs. Richmond was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.&nbsp;</p> <p>Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; son, Albert Richmond, Jr.; sisters, Mary Lea Hamilton and Siss Sandifer and brothers, R.B. Sandifer, Elbert Sandifer, Pat Sandifer and Cooter Sandifer.&nbsp; She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Ann) Dabney of Mexia; grandsons, Johno Dabney &amp; wife Cassie and Jacob Dabney &amp; wife, Melissa, all of Mexia; great-granddaughter, Hannah Jacobs of Mexia; nieces, Shirley Musgrave of Denton and Viola Barnes of Mexia; great-niece, Callie Gilbert of Pilot Point; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.&nbsp;</p>
