Teri Stuart Cromwell Obituary

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Teri Stuart Cromwell on October 17, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Teri was born on November 22, 1951 to Corey Cromwell (Donna) and Lois Cromwell. He was raised in Saint John with his siblings Coreen Kemp (Bob), Barbara Streeter (Marty), and James Cromwell (Kathy).

Teri was known to his family and many friends as an exceptionally kind, hospitable and generous person, always ready to help anyone out at any time. Energetic and enthusiastic, he had many interests, including camping, fishing photography and motorcycles. His loving wife and constant companion Nancy and he spent 43 happy, busy years raising their children Donald and Leisha together. Teri worked for over 20 years at Maritime Paper in Saint John, before taking an early retirement to help Nancy run the popular and extremely busy Fundy Heights Bed & Breakfast in West Saint John. Friends and family knew they could show up there any time for a warm welcome, delicious food and lots of laughter.

After Teri and Nancy sold the B & B, they stayed busy, pursuing their many shared interests, including scouting auctions and yard sales for antiques, traveling to New Hampshire, photography, and enjoying bulldogs. Teri loved to be “Papa” to his grandchildren, and this summer he enjoyed going out in the boat fishing with Donald, Lucas and Matthew. Teri and Nancy’s greatest joy, though, was their shared worship of Jehovah God as Jehovah’s Witnesses as members of the Saint John Carleton Congregation. As a devoted and faithful Witness, Teri’s hope was in the resurrection to a perfect life on a paradise earth, a hope he spent many hours sharing with others. (Ps. 37: 10, 11, 29)

Teri is survived by his loving wife Nancy, and by his sons Donald McMillan (Sarah) and Cordell Cromwell, daughter Leisha Kelly and Peter Kelly. He’s also survived by his mother Lois Cromwell, his siblings Coreen Kemp (Bob), Barbara Streeter (Marty), and James Cromwell (Kathy). He had many nieces and nephews, with a particularly close relationship with his niece Shyanne, who was like a second daughter to him.

Teri is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Lucas, Lily, Molly, Brittany, Amber, Cheyenne, Thomas, Fiona and Marshall, and his great-grandchild Jayce. He was predeceased by his father Corey Cromwell (Donna).

The family would like to send a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, extramural (Marjorie) and the wonderful staff in Palliative Care.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A memorial service for Teri will be Live streamed on Saturday, October 24th at 3:00 pm.
