Gracy Devone 67 of 68 Windsong Lane died Saturday October 17, 2020 at UNC Rex HealthCare in Raleigh.

Minster Gracy Lee Devone was born on March 28, 1953, to Hazel Borden and the late J. W. Underwood. She graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1971.

On January 7, 1972, she met and married the love of her life, Mr. Bobby Ray Devone. Preceding her in death is one brother, Malachi Baggett.

Minister Gracy joined Union Freewill Baptist Church at our early age. She later joined House of Praise Church in Newton Grove under the leadership of Apostle Eva Darden, where she is currently a member and has been for approximately 30 years

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Piney Green Disciples Church, 2937 W. Darden Road, Newton Grove, NC.

Left behind to cherish her memories are, two sons: Bobby Ray Devone Jr. (Marsha Devone) of Clinton, NC, and Terrance Devone of the home, one daughter: LaWanda McNeill (Cornell McNeill) of Dunn, NC, one sister: Nancy Gertrude Carroll of Salemburg, NC, and one brother: Levi Baggett (Diane Baggett). Minister Gracy Sue Devone also leaves behind to cherish her memories, six grandchildren: Gracelynn Devone, whom she raised as her own, Donavon, Victoria, Bobbie Rae, Brianna, & Abigail, two great-grandchildren: Eli and Carlos Rivera, four nieces: Adriane McNeill, Sharon Blood, Trachelle Broadnax, Nancy Tucker, four nephews: Marcus Underwood, Julius Baggett, Dennis Carroll Jr., Michael Baggett, and one special cousin/friend/sister: Gertie Stevens. A host of other relative and friends are also left to cherish her memories.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Hope valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton from 2:00 pm – 6;00 pm with family present from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
