<p>Roger A. DeVine, 91, of Rock Island, Illinois, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Ft. Armstrong Assisted Living, Rock Island.</p> <p>Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. </p> <p>Roger was born on November 15, 1928 in Davenport, the son of James and Kathryn (Ales) DeVine. On May 22, 1948, he was united in marriage to Wilma Smysor in Muscatine, Iowa. Roger worked as a floor covering contractor for the majority of his life. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.</p> <p>Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 72 years, Wilma of Rock Island; daughters, Donna (Loras) Reiter of Bettendorf, Diana Woodworth of Robinson, Illinois; son, Steve DeVine of Denver, Colorado; brother, Neal DeVine of Davenport; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet; brother, Donald; and son-in-law, Jay.</p>Obituary
