James Edward Shepherd, 77, of Barbados Avenue, Marion, Ohio passed 5:43 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Ohio. James was born March 18, 1943 in Greenup, Kentucky, the son of the late Clyde E. Shepherd and Mary D. (Sexton) Shepherd. On November 14, 1975, he was united in marriage to Marty (Perry) Shepherd, who survives. Also surviving are eight children, Tony Paccioni, Rina (Sam) Conley, James E. Shepherd, Jr., Danah Garver, Christopher (Mark) Paccioni, Jeff Shepherd, Michael (Jan) Shepherd and Dale Dempster, twenty-four grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Bill (Faye) Shepherd and Ronald (Kathy) Shepherd and four sisters, Geneva (Howard) Zimmerman, Kay Sparks, Margie (Terry) Bradley and Darlene (Williams) Sparks. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dottie Phillips, brothers Donald and Ray Shepherd, son-in-law, David Garver, daughter-in-law Karen Shepherd and brothers-in-law, David Sparks and Sam Phillips James was an Iron worker for American Malleable Marion, Ohio and General Castings Delaware, Ohio.
