Elsie “Nanny” Hubbard Wilkins, age 97, departed this life October 14, 2020 at her home in Glasgow, KY. She was born September 20, 1923 to the late James “Big Jim” Hubbard and Mary Hubbard in Manchester, KY. Elsie loved the Lord and every single one of her family members. In past times she loved to sew, make quilts and tape her gospel music to listen to. She was a major part of all of our lives and will forever be in our hearts. She is in heaven with her family that she missed so desperately…until we see you again. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Leonard Hubbard, Hobart Hubbard, T.J Hubbard, R.J Hubbard, Lee Roy Hubbard and Bradley Hubbard; one sister Nancy Ann Grubb; her son James Leon Wilkins. Survivors include her children, Doris Sullivan (Kenneth, deceased) Barbara Howell (Charles, deceased) Darlean Pittman (Curtis, deceased); grandchildren Kim Carnes (Hank) ,Charles Cox Jr., Curtis Pittman (Christa), Linda Cox, Ruth Howell, Charlie Howell Jr., and Jared Pittman; 10 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be 1PM Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home; burial will follow in Wallsend Cemetery with Arthur Asher, Curtis Pittman, Jared Pittman, Waylon Basil and Michael Hubbard as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6PM on Monday, October 19, 2020 until 9PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Wilkins family.
