Steven C. “Steve” Williams, 50, of Strasburg died suddenly on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in the Mercy Medical Center at Canton. Born March 28, 1970 in Canton, he was a son of Vivian Saunders Williams of Canton and the late George Williams. Steve was also preceded in death by his step-father, Benny Williams. He was a 1988 graduate of Canton McKinley High School and proudly served his country with the United States Army during Desert Storm. Steve was currently employed by the Iron Workers Local #550 in Canton. In his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Steve is survived by his wife, Sandy Airwyke Williams whom he married on May 18, 2006; son, Benjamin Williams of Columbus; step-son, Travis Miller of Strasburg; siblings, David Williams of Louisville, Nick (Kim) Williams of Dover, Mike (Erin) Williams of Avon Lake and Denice Williams of Canton. Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg. There are no services or calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
