Linda Darlene Mullen, 71, of Newton, IL passed away at 3:00 pm on October 15, 2020 at her residence.

Private family memorial services will be held. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.

Linda was born on December 20, 1948 in Olney, IL to Dale and Opal (Griffith) Newlin. Surviving is her daughter Stacie Volkman of Princeton, IN and her son Christopher (Emily) Volkman of Evansville, IN; two granddaughters Reese and Regan Volkman; brother Leroy Newlin; sisters Jane Page, Patsy Snyder and Sharon Jackson. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Donald and Thomas Newlin; sisters JoAnn Walk, Maxine Litwiller and Joyce Lux.

Linda spent her career that started in 1969 as a Licensed Practical Nurse working in nursing homes. She was a hardcore St. Louis Cardinal fan. She loved her family and will be forever loved and remembered by her family and friends.
