<p>Allen Lee Boyd, age 91, of Casey, IL passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Heartland Nursing and Rehab in Casey, IL. He was born December 9, 1928 in Terre Haute, IN. He was the loving son of Stanley Washburn and Effie Opal Boyd Washburn. On March 19, 1954 he married Loretta Maxine Ulrey in Marshall, IL; she passed away on February 6, 2019.</p> <p>Survivors include his children, Linda Diane Mason (Brent) of Casey, IL; Brenda Kay Whitton (Ken) of Casey, IL; Robert Allen Boyd (Vicki) of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Brent Mason, Jr. (Laura), Amy Mason, Shawn Mason (Nicole), Derek Mason (Amanda), Mitchell Whitton (Cassidy), Chase Whitton, Brandon Finney (Kindra) and Logan Boyd (Macie); great grandchildren, Jake Mason (Sydney Slaughter), Harley Mason, Emma Mason, Landon Mason, Gavin Gonzolas, Tara Mason, Karissa Dupuis, Brent Mason, Sloane Mason, Quinn Mason, Jett Finney, Hallie Finney, Hudson Boyd and Reece Boyd; &nbsp;great great grandson, Jack Mason and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Loretta Boyd.</p> <p>Allen was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School in Whiting, IN. He was a lifelong resident of Casey and self-employed farmer. Allen was a faithful member of the Casey White Oak Church of God. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping and cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.</p> <p>Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be the in Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL with graveside military rites by Casey VFW and Martinsville American Legion.&nbsp; Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. (Per CDC guidelines, 50 attendees are allowed inside our facility at a time.
