Leon F. Cannon

<p>Leon F. Cannon, 85, a 42 year resident of Anne Arundel County and formerly of Georgia, died on October 15, 2020 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.</p> <p>He was born on February 22, 1935 in Talfair County, Georgia to the late Druey and Allie Jane Cannon.</p> <p>Mr. Cannon was employed by Connolly Sign Company and Bell Singer Sign Works as a sign fabricator for a total of 42 years.</p> <p>He was an avid league bowler at AMF Southdale Lanes in Pasadena.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, Mr. Cannon is preceded in death by his sister, Hilda Nelms (Martin), brother, Hubert Cannon (Roselle), and his brother in law, Virgil Williams.</p> <p>He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mattie Cannon, his daughters, Charlene Miller (Lee), Sheri Garrison (Bryan), and Madalyn Shawen (Gary), his sisters, Sue Broward (Dearl) and Peggy Williams, his grandchildren,&nbsp;Danielle Moore, David Garrison, Brad Garrison, Britini Shawen, and Alec Garrison, and his great grandchildren,&nbsp;Aaliyah Moore, Maliki Moore, Zara Moore, and Natalie Garrison.</p> <p>Friends may visit on Thursday October 22, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A., 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122&nbsp;where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. &nbsp;Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville. &nbsp;The service will also be livestreamed on the obituary page and on Stallings Funeral Home&#39;s Facebook page (click <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/412608146806852">HERE</a>). &nbsp;<strong>Please be aware that, due to county-mandated COVID-19 restrictions, Stallings Funeral Home is only allowing 60 people in the building at a time and face coverings must be worn while inside.</strong></p>
