Henry Lewis Relford Obituary

Henry Lewis Relford, 73, of Debbie St., Kannapolis, NC passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis.

He was born November 29, 1946 in Cabarrus County to the late Fred Brown and the late Mildred Relford Brown.

Henry was educated in the Kannapolis City School Systems and was a 1964 graduate of G.W. Carver High School.  He was formerly employed by a Nursing Home.  Henry was a former member of Marable Memorial AME Zion Church where he served as an Associate Minister, Treasurer and Gospel Choir.  He also was member of the Combination Choir of Kannapolis and was a 32nd Degree Free Mason.

Services will be held Wednesday, October 21, at Bethel Baptist Church, 2474 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be 12:30PM – 1:00 PM, with funeral services at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

In addition to his parents Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Thompson Relford.

Those who shall forever cherish his memory include his sister, Marietta Wilson of Kannapolis, NC; three brothers, John Brown and Franklin Brown (Tonda) both of Kannapolis, NC and Mark Brown of Cleveland, OH; one daughter, Benadectra Jonet Thompson of Kannapolis, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to Covid-19 Mask must be worn to all services.
