Monette- Bobby Ray Goodman, 88, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born February 10, 1932 in Monette to the late T.L. and Minnie May Fletcher Goodman. He graduated from Caraway High School. Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Goodman was a teacher and had earned a master’s degree in Education from Arkansas State University. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, camping and working in his yard. He was a member of the Caraway First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Jane Poe Goodman; his children, Kimberly Ann Morgan of Caraway and Bobby Cole Goodman of Tyronza; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters. A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Elvis Poe, James Poe, Mark Poe, Randy Hutchison, Michael Adams and Jerry Moore.
