Funeral services for Donald D. Howe, 72, of Aberdeen, SD, will be 10:00 am, Monday, October 19, 2020 at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, with Fr. Michael Kapperman, Celebrant. Please follow CDC guidelines and wear masks. Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Highmore, SD. A memorial service for family and friends will be held next summer, more information will be available at a later date. Donald died Wednesday, October 14, at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Donald D. Howe was born to Robert and Evelyn (Schmidt) Howe in Pierre, SD. He grew up in Highmore, SD and graduated from Highmore High School in 1968. After high school, Donald worked for the Highmore Meat Market. He moved to Aberdeen and worked at Siebriecht’s Floral in the greenhouse and then at Manor Care, which is now Prairie Heights Healthcare, for over thirty years before retiring in 2012. Donald was a funny but stubborn guy. He enjoyed being outdoors camping, fishing and hunting pheasant, duck, and deer. Grateful for sharing Donald’s life are his brothers: Doug Howe, Aberdeen, SD, James (Betty) Howe, Columbia, SC, and Michael (Annette) Howe, Monessen, PA; nieces, Julie Howe, Burgettstown, PA and Raivone Guillory, Columbia, SC; nephew, Devonta Guillory, Columbia, SC; and many cousins and friends. Preceding Donald in death are his parents, Robert & Evelyn Howe.
