In loving memory of Mr. William ‘Bill’ Ryan May 26, 1934 - Oct. 15, 2020 Passed away peacefully at the Waterford Hospital, St. John’s on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, Mr. William ‘Bill’ Ryan of Spaniard’s Bay at 86. Predeceased by his parents John and Maryann; son Matthew; daughter Paula; sisters Sadie Coombs and Mona Foley; brothers Raymond and Leo Ryan. Leaving to mourn are his wife Joan of 65 years; children Mike (Sharon), Lucy (Robert Hayward), Maria (Glenn Mercer), Paulette (Dale Bannister), Tony (Eleanor) and Paul (Donna); 20 grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Paula, Michelle, Robert, Mark, Glenda, Damien, Robert, Nicole Natasha, Brittany, Tyler, Meagan, Darci, Cheyenne, Brady, Carson, Riley and Jayden; several great-grandchildren; a very special Aunt Nellie Ryan; brother Leo Coombs (Carolyn) and sister Bridget Paul; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Lynch’s Funeral Home, Spaniard’s Bay. Due to COVID-19, there will be a viewing on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. for immediate family and some invited friends. Funeral service on Monday, Oct. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead. Interment at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Spaniard’s Bay.
