<p>Mrs. Myrtle Regina &ldquo;Jean&rdquo; Truesdale, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Jean was born November 20, 1924, to Berchie Free Chitty Yates and William Arthur Yates in Forsyth County.</p> <p>Myrtle was an elegant lady. She was a long-standing member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. She loved her family, church family, and her friends. She enjoyed traveling from coast to coast as well as gardening, particularly her flowers.</p> <p>Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norton Henry Truesdale, three brothers, two sisters, her first husband and the father of her children Wade Yarbrough Sr.,&nbsp;her oldest son, Wade, Jr, oldest daughter, Carol &ldquo;Cookie&rdquo; Atkins (David), and her oldest grandson, Gene Strupe, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Gaynell &ldquo;Bunny&rdquo; Slater (Robert); son, Timothy Yarbrough (Bonretta); nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Randy Whitman officiating. Mrs. Myrtle Regina “Jean” Truesdale, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Jean was born November 20, 1924, to Berchie Free Chitty Yates and William Arthur Yates in Forsyth County.

Myrtle was an elegant lady. She was a long-standing member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. She loved her family, church family, and her friends. She enjoyed traveling from coast to coast as well as gardening, particularly her flowers.
