Joyce Ketcherside, 75 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020.  She was born April 14, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to Albert and Oma Urton. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Evan Ketcherside; children, Matthew Griffith, Kristina Plett, Tabitha Ketcherside; 8 grandchildren; siblings, James Urton, Debbie Hughes and several other friends and family.  

Joyce was a very proud, patriotic woman. She joined the army at age 18 following in the footsteps of father, a paratrooper who parachuted into Europe. Her big brother also joined the army and became a paratrooper. Joyce was unable to follow them and become a paratrooper so she joined a local sky diving club. In her spare time she loved to read. You could always find her out on the front porch or back patio with a book in her hand. 

Graveside funeral service will be 2pm Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Oakland cemetery in Russellville. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
