Dorothy "Dottie" Jane Uryasz

Dorothy “Dottie” Jane Uryasz, 80, of Jefferson, SD, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Dottie was born on January 16, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Raymond L. and Catherine (Ponich) Wilfong. She was united in marriage to Jerome “Jerry” Uryasz Sr. on August 2, 1958. To this union, two sons were born, Jerome Jr. “Jerry” and Richard. They celebrated their 62 years of marriage. Survivors are her two sons and their spouses, Jerome F. Uryasz Jr., and Margaret Riley, and Richard R. (Jana) Uryasz of Senora, CA; two granddaughters, Madelyn Uryasz and Jessica Riley; two grandsons, Shane (Mindy) Vincent, and Shawn Vincent.; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Vincent, Allison Vincent, and Ian Johnson; one brother-in-law, Frank Uryasz Jr., of Omaha, NE; one sister-in-law, Jan Uryasz of Bellevue, NE; and a special friend, “granddaughter” Casey Nilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Catherine Wilfong and her husband, Jerome Sr. “Jerry” on November 29, 2017.
