Rosa Lee Holliday

Rosa Lee Holliday, 73, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 2:05 am on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Ancco, Kentucky, on Friday, October 10, 1947, to John and Gracie (Smith) Lucas. On October 26, 1963, she married her beloved husband, Carl Holliday, Sr., and he survives. Rosa was a hard worker and homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was an avid follower of the Kentucky Wildcats and Indiana Pacers. She thoroughly enjoyed singing and fellowshipping in church. More than anything, though, Rosa loved her family and spending time with them. In addition to her husband of nearly 57 years, she is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Davis of Marion; son, Carl R. (Diana) Holliday of Gas City; sister, Ella Jean Jones of Marion; grandsons, Jeremiah Carl Thomas, Carl R. (Erica) Holliday, and Jonathan W. Holliday; granddaughters, Kassandra Lee Thomas, Gracie Faye Thomas, Brittney Holliday, and Abby Holliday; and many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois Faye Lucas; brother, John Jr. Lucas; and grandparents, Mahoe (Arelena) Lucas. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Rosa's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Emery Bailey officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
