Ava Lax Obituary

LAX, Ava (2002-2020)
It is with profound sadness and sorrow that the Lax family announces the passing of their beloved daughter Ava Lax who passed away on October 13th, 2020, at Toronto General Hospital due to a sudden unexpected illness at the young age of 18. Ava was a beautiful girl both inside and out who would light up any room she walked into. She had a profound impact on everyone she met. In particular, she had a special effect on younger children. Ava was loved by all children who knew her. She created and maintained a special bond with many youngerchildren especially the ones on our street, Bonaventure Dr. Ava was curious about the world and how it worked. She would frequently challenge herself to ask difficult questions about culture, history, and any other discipline. Ava was gifted with many talents and gave her best at everything she did. She loved skating and spent many hours training as a figure skater. She enjoyed playing the violin as well as going to gym sessions and taking her dogs, Maple, and Copper, for walks. Ava loved to travel and had plans to explore new places with family and friends. She cherished the time spent with her closest friends. Ava had just started her life as a young adult and she was enrolled at McGill University at the Ingram School of Nursing. She loved the challenge and worked very hard to excel. She was focused on making a difference in people’s lives. Ava is survived by her parents Dr. Steven and Krista Lax, and her brother Joseph David Lax. Dear granddaughter of Judith and late David Kujanpaa, and late Joe and Shirley Lax (Nee Futerman). Also left to mourn are her cousins Samantha and Dana Sabadics and their father Daniel Sabadics. Her family would like to thank Dr. Rick Kvas, Dr. Malvinder Parmar, and Dr. Patrick Lawler for their exceptional care.
