Thomas (Tom) Sukarukoff, 77, of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away in the morning hours of October 14, 2020 after surviving many years of cardiovascular disease, finally succumbing to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) after a short fight. A humble and private family service will be held graveside in Moose Jaw, SK in the coming days. Tom was born in the White Beech District of SK in December of 1942. He grew up on the family farm and then later went to school for architectural technology at STI in Moose Jaw. He worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool for 28 years and finished as a construction cost estimator. Tom was married to Leora on June 24th 1967; they were married a very proud 53 years and during their retirement enjoyed many vacations, including bus trips and trips to Vegas together. Tom is survived by loving wife Leora, and Katherine (Curt) Junior, Debbie (Mitch) Davis and their children Balin and Macy, Donna (Chris) Peterson and their daughters McKenna and Dakota, Brad (Natasha) Sukarukoff and their daughters Aubrey and Emilia. Also survived by his sisters Verna (Marcel) Assoignon, Faye Sukarukoff, and Irene Sukarukoff and their families. Tom is predeceased by his mother Annie, father Philip, and brother John. His love of the earth and what beauty can be inspired to grow from it has always inspired his family whom he loved dearly. He provided with strong hands and a huge heart. He and Leora raised their kids well with the resources they had and never thought twice about sacrificing for their children. Tom found absolute joy in his grandchildren. May he find peace in the eternal garden (maybe even with a few of the grandpets with whom he enjoyed companionship and cuddles). At Tom’s request a private family service will be held.
