Funeral services for Mrs. Loyce Duffey Williford, 95, of Gilmer will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Gilmer with Reverend Matthew Smith. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Williford passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020. She was born on October 5, 1925, in Gilmer, Texas to the late John Hugh Duffey and Anna Pearl Loyd. Mrs. Williford worked for the U. S. Government during WWII doing clerical work. She was employed with Upshur Rural Electric until her retirement. Mrs. Williford was a member of Gilmer First United Methodist Church and the Electa SS class, she was also a volunteer for the clothes closet. Mrs. Williford is survived by daughter, Carla Potter and husband, Yale of Gilmer; grandson, Matthew Potter and wife, Katie of Gilmer; granddaughter, Anna Potter and Temple Kramer; great grandchildren, Marleigh and Sadie. The family would like to give a special thank you to Texas Home Health and Hospice and to her special caregiver Ashley Meyerson for the excellent care given to our mother and grandmother.
