Darrell Eugene Fisher, 83, of Ottumwa, died at 11:40 a.m. October 14, 2020 at the Keota Health Care Center in Keota. He was born June 12, 1937 to Jesse and Emma Enloe Fisher. Darrell married Loretta Rogers on September 12, 1986. Darrell was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1954-57. He was an auto mechanic retiring from Ottumwa Ford. Surviving is his wife, Loretta; his children, Bub (Pam) Fisher of Batavia, David Chandler of Illinois and Darlene (Dan) Price of Havana, FL; step-sons, Dale Ruble and Shane Ruble; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jewell Taft, Ellen Booe, Arthur, Frank, Carl, Glenn, Jesse and Wilbur Fisher. His body has been cremated. Graveside services and inurnment will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 20th at Ashland Cemetery near Eldon with Pastor Loyd Osborn officiating. Military services will be conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society.
