Mary Beatrice “Betty” Zullo, age 96 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Independence Manor, Raritan Township, NJ, where she and her husband resided. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, November 11, 1923, daughter of the late Tom and Rose Rufran Silvey, she had resided in the Flemington area since 1970. A graduate of Buffalo State Teachers College she formerly was a teacher for five years at the Ferry Avenue School, Niagara Falls. Betty loved to cook and bake, was an avid gardener and also loved sewing. Always known for her warm smile, Betty is survived by her husband of seventy-one years, John J. Zullo; two sons and daughters-in-law John Richard and Kathy Cervenka Zullo and Robert J. Zullo and Kelly Sickler Zullo both of Flemington, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary Zullo Randolph and Jeff Randolph of Morris Plains, NJ; a brother, Thomas Silvey of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandchildren, Mike Randolph, Jennifer Randolph, Jason Zullo and Dana Zullo Saueressig; and four great grandchildren, Giovanni Zullo, Nico Saueressig, Tanna Saueressig and Celeste Saureessig, as well as several nieces and nephews. A son, Fred Zullo, died in 1972. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 19,2020, at 11:00 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ followed by committal in St. Magdalen Mausoleum, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday 9:30-10:30 AM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
