Myrna Yolande Morgan Guelph, Ontario Obituary

Myrna Yolande Morgan

Myrna Morgan Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Myrna passed away peacefully at The Wellington Terrace in Fergus, Ontario on Monday, October 12, 2020. Myrna (nee Crowe) in her 88th year was the beloved mother to Bradford (Lorna), Clayton (Christine), Evan, Reece (Inez), Shelley (Harold) and Gavin (Paula). Myrna was the cherished Nana to 9 grandchildren (Andrew, Matthew, Jurgen, Anthony, Rebecca, Jessie, Sophie, Elliot, and Josie) and 5 great-grandchildren (Easton, Windsor, Eli, Ethan and Rosie), and a loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Myrna is survived by her sisters, Coral May (Ontario), Maxine Ferguson and Avery Pegado (UK) and, by her sister-in-law Jennifer Crowe (Spain). Myrna was predeceased by her parents Ivy Crowe (nee D’Mello, Mississauga) and Cecil Crowe (UK) and, by her brothers, Annesley Crowe (Australia), and Paul Crowe (Spain). She was born, raised, and married in India, and together with her late husband Edgar Morgan, Myrna moved with eldest son Bradford to England in mid 1950s, where they had five more children. They immigrated to Canada in 1967, setting up the Morgan family home in what was then Clarkson, Ontario (later becoming part of Mississauga). Myrna tirelessly raised her six children whilst pursuing her chosen field of legal secretarial work with the Ontario government. She shared her retirement between British Columbia and Ontario. With her infectious personality, she spent many years establishing countless supportive and loving friends. In 2010, Myrna finally settled permanently in Ontario to be with her children and their families. Myrna was a pillar of pride and joy when it came to her faith, her family, her many friends and her work ethic. She welcomed everyone into her home with a warm smile and joyous laugh. She excelled in culinary favorites, preparing delicious family meals including Sunday roast dinners, amazing Palau and Biryani dishes, and scrumptious desserts like Christmas fruit cake, Bacardi cake, and her especially wonderful fudge, always bringing joy and pleasure to anyone invited to share in her home. Myrna could also be found enjoying a family game of scrabble, or travelling to many destinations throughout the world, visiting family and friends. Over the last 6 years, Myrna was welcomed in to the care of The Birchdale Unit of the Wellington Terrace LTC facility (Fergus). Myrna’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude for the love and remarkable care extended to her by Dr. Stickney, and the nursing and other staff members.
