<p>After many miles by air, land, and sea, Catherine Long Swafford passed away on October 13, 2020. She was 83 years old.</p> <p>Catherine was a math teacher who taught school in Newark, Charlotte, and Cushman. She attended West Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, and Calvary Baptist Church. Catherine taught woman’s Sunday school classes for over 40 years.</p> <p>Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Addie Long, and brother Mack Long. She is survived by her husband, Byron J. Swafford Sr.; sister, Sue Jones; and son, Byron J. Swafford Jr.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at a later date. Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service.</p>Obituary
