Brad Howard Jones, 62, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of his Garden Valley home, surrounded by his loved ones on September 29, 2020 after a very brief struggle with cancer. He was born June 25, 1958 in Carmel, CA to Charles and Barbara Jones. Brad was a longtime resident of Seaside before moving to Castroville where he and his wife (Carrie) raised their family. He and Carrie then settled in beautiful Garden Valley, CA. Brad dedicated his life to fulfilling the happiness of others. He lived for gatherings with family and friends. A man of many talents, he took great pride in crafting beautiful treasures for those he loved. Brad was an avid hunter and fisherman, with a great passion, love and respect for the outdoors. He lived his life to the fullest, taking his jeep on many off road adventures and was blessed with spending some of his last weeks boar hunting in Monterey County and fishing in Alaska. For nearly 20 years, he proudly served as a reserve firefighter for North Monterey County Fire Protection District and volunteered for numerous organizations rebuilding homes including Habitat for Humanity. Brad had an amazing work ethic, allowing him to showcase his many talents during his years with the Fire Department, PG&E, Duke Energy, NCPA and SMUD. He is survived by his wife Carrie Jones of 43 years, their two children, James Jones (Ashley) and Sarah Jones of Castroville, CA. His four grandchildren; Logan, Alexandra, Jake and Alyssa all of Castroville, his siblings Kitty Deegan (Ken), Chuck Jones (Debbie), Vickie Morrill and numerous nieces and nephews of whom he deeply loved. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Barbara Jones and Sister Vianne Digiorgio. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2020; 2 pm at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside California.
