<p><br /> James Lee Robison, age 72, died Monday, October 12, 2020 at his home in Overton, Nevada.&nbsp; He was born October 31, 1947 in Overton, Nevada to Arthur Ray and Barbara Nay Robison.&nbsp; On January 28, 1972 he married Larene C. Leatham in the St. George LDS Temple.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>James lived most of his life in Overton.&nbsp; After graduating from Moapa Valley High School he served an LDS mission in the Northern British Mission.&nbsp; After one semester at Dixie College,&nbsp; he served two tours in Vietnam in the Army.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>He worked a few years delivering milk in Las Vegas before accepting a job with Clark County Parks and Recreation.&nbsp; He was assigned to the Northwest County and moved back to Overton.&nbsp; While working with his brother at the dairy in the early mornings and late evenings, he built up the community recreation department.&nbsp; With others he helped to bring the fairgrounds to Logandale.&nbsp; Under his leadership The Fourth of July celebration and Veterans Day parade expanded and became celebrated events.</p> <p>Always active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as a Bishop, as a member of the Stake Presidency and a second mission with his wife to Jacksonville, Florida near the campus of the Florida Gators.&nbsp; He will be remembered for his patience, his service, his story telling and for his love of others.</p> <p>Survivors include his wife, Larene; five sons and one daughter: Kirt (Pauline) of Las Vegas; Kelby (Lauralyn) of Overton; Emily (Travis) Pack of Logandale; Erik (Christy) of Provo, UT; Brad (Amanda) of Lovelock, NV; Scott (Emily) of Overton; 25 grandchildren; brother, Ben (Kay) of Overton; sister, Nancy (Ken) Staton of Overton; sister in law, JoAnn Robison of St. George, UT and brother in law, Joe (Susie) Quirarte of Overton.&nbsp; He was preceded by his brother, Calvin and sister, Janet Quirarte.</p> <p>There will be a public visitation Friday, October 16, 2020 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and family visitation Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the Overton LDS Chapel.&nbsp; Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel for family only due to Covid 19, but will be live streamed on the mortuary website for all others.&nbsp; Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery.&nbsp; Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com<br /> &nbsp;</p>

James Lee Robison, age 72, died Monday, October 12, 2020 at his home in Overton, Nevada.  He was born October 31, 1947 in Overton, Nevada to Arthur Ray and Barbara Nay Robison.  On January 28, 1972 he married Larene C. Leatham in the St. George LDS Temple.  

James lived most of his life in Overton.  After graduating from Moapa Valley High School he served an LDS mission in the Northern British Mission.  After one semester at Dixie College,  he served two tours in Vietnam in the Army.  

He worked a few years delivering milk in Las Vegas before accepting a job with Clark County Parks and Recreation.  He was assigned to the Northwest County and moved back to Overton.  While working with his brother at the dairy in the early mornings and late evenings, he built up the community recreation department.  With others he helped to bring the fairgrounds to Logandale.  Under his leadership The Fourth of July celebration and Veterans Day parade expanded and became celebrated events.
