William "Jack" Clark Obituary

William John (Jack) Clark, Sept 24, 1926-Oct 10, 2020. It is with great sadness the family of Jack Clark announces his sudden passing on October 10, 2020 at the age of 94 years. Jack, born at Cabri, Sask., was the oldest child of William (Bill) and Emily Clark. He is survived by his sister Joan Kaake and brother Alan Clark. Over the years he has taken great interest in his extended family consisting of four nieces; Sheryl and Shellie (nee Kaake), Alison and Bevelyn (nee Clark) and four nephews; Ronald and Robert Kaake and Douglas and David Clark, as well as the sixteen grandnieces and grandnephews. He grew up on the homestead farm and attended the local country schools (both Westmount and Sandford Dene), finished his high school in Cabri and completed a short course in Agriculture at the University of Sask. He returned to the farm and continued farming until retiring in 1981. He moved into Cabri and enjoyed many years of fishing, golfing, his hobby restoring small antique engines and coffee row with his good friends. He also travelled extensively across Canada and to Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland and many parts of Europe. In 2016 Jack moved to Swift Current to reside in Riverview Village Estates for the remainder of his years. Besides taking a turn as a municipal councilor and member of the local school board, Jack was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. In 2019 he was awarded the Masonic Long Service Award for 65 years service. A private celebration of Jack's life was held on Saturday, Oct 17, 2020 with Reverend Chris Dowdeswell officiating. The Life Tribute was given by Fern Bang. The Pallbearers were Ron Kaake, Robert Kaake, Jim Mochoruk, Douglas Clark, David Clark, Dale Marshall and Peter Nuss. The Interment Service took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory is asked to make it to the Prairie Health Care Centre, Cabri, Sk.
