Michael Lopez, 68, of Kamiah, Idaho passed away peacefully on October 11,2020 in Lewiston, Idaho. He was born on March 5,1952 to Eulalio and Minerva Lopez in Polyclinic Hospital lower Manhattan New York City. His Immediate family moved to Seattle, Washington in July 1967 to provide a better life for their children. Michael attended South Central Community College to complete his GED. He married his first wife Eva Kamacho and they had 2 children MiguelRico and Valentina Lopez. Then married his second wife Vanessa Carter and they had one child together Carter Lopez. He worked as a baker in Gais bakery in Seattle. He was a Sand blaster at data Eagle Pattern in Seattle. He worked at the King Dome in Seattle. He was a delivery driver for Data Corp in Seattle. He also ran the family Jewelry and watch repair business in Seattle and ran his own coffee shack in Bellingham for several years. He was an accomplished martial arts Sifu in Kung Fu and enjoyed training others in the art. He started at the age of 13 at the Strong Eagle School in Seattle and was trained by Sifu Mar. Before becoming a Sifu he trained with a good friend Richard Barrientes and shortly after became compadres. Michael was an advance long distance runner and ran several marathons with his life long friend John Gonzalez. He enjoyed taking his daughter roller skating and swimming with the Barrientes children, loved watching his son carter play basketball, loved spending time, going to eat and playing cards with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and giving them money. Michael is survived by his brother George Lopez, Daughter Valentina Lopez, Son Carter Lopez, and grandchildren Angelica Madrigal, Lorena Madrigal, Mario Madrigal, Mytaya Lopez, and Creed Lopez. He was preceded in death by his parents Eulalio Lopez and Minerva Quiroz Lopez, brother Ivan Lopez, and son MiguelRico. Funeral services will be at Marlatt Funeral Home 713 Central Ave N Kent, WA 98032 on 10/24/20 at 2pm. Interment will follow at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery 205 Lake Ballinger Way Shoreline, WA 98155 on 10/26/20 at 2pm. Memorials or donations may be made to his daughter Valentina Lopez or son Carter Lopez.
