<p>HILGERS, Elmer</p> <p>Elmer Edward Hilgers passed away on October 11, 2020 with family by his side. Elmer was predeceased by his partner, Roseanne Hnidy, October 3, 2020 and was also predeceased by his mother, Anne Hilgers, father Edward Hilgers, brother Clifford Hilgers and his grandson Danny Mantyka.&nbsp;He is survived by his children; daughter Heather (Wayne) Warnock, grandson Michael (Kim) Mantyka, great-grandson Oliver; daughter Lindsey (Brent) Mantyka, great-grandsons, Zackary, Nathan and great-granddaughter Meredith; grandson Jackson (Alysha) Warnock, great-granddaughter Lucy Mantyka; son Kevin (Jan) Hilgers, granddaughters Catherine (Henning) and Jasper (Zack), daughter Debbie (Randy) Rodwin, grandson Jason Eide, granddaughter Alicia (Bevan) Eide, grandson Will (Tina) Rodwin, great-grandsons Jayden &amp; Caisten; and sisters Bernice (Peter) Andres and Donna McIntyre. Elmer spent the last 40 years dedicating his life to many service clubs to the community.&nbsp;He was Charter President of the Riverside Optimist Club in 1982 and continued to be an active member until his passing.&nbsp;He won many awards over the years.&nbsp;Elmer loved to fill his days with a round of golf at the Wildwood Golf Course and having coffee with his friends and buddies at McDonalds.&nbsp;Do not shed tears when I have gone but smile instead because I have lived. Do not shut your eyes and pray to God that I will come back but open your eyes and see all that I have left behind (David Harkins). A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. &ndash; 12:00 p.m. at Acadia-McKague&rsquo;s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Dr.) in Saskatoon, with an Interment to&nbsp;follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
