Mr. Delbert L. “Deb” Fleagle, 80, of S. Church Street, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 13, 2020, in his home. Born August 20, 1940 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Leon Fleagle and Gladys (Ray) Gilreath. He served in the United States Army from July 8, 1960 until July 7, 1963 as a marksman and sharpshooter. He and his wife, the late Linda L. (Plaine) Fleagle, were married in 1973. Mrs. Fleagle passed away August 6, 2011. Mr. Fleagle was employed as a machinist at Landis Tool Company, Waynesboro for a number of years before working as a machinist at Mack Truck Manufacturing, Hagerstown, MD for 33 years. He retired in June 2001. He was a member of Owls Club where he served on the Board of Directors, William Max McLaughlin VFW Post #695, Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, Eagles Club, Inc. and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1191, all of Waynesboro and the Marine Corps League, Chambersburg. Mr. Fleagle enjoyed playing golf, fishing on the bay, watching football and spending time with his grandson, Logan. He is survived by two sons, Dion Fleagle of Martinsburg, WV and Daniel Fleagle of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Logan Fleagle and Brittany Vannoy-Smith; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Jeanette Naylor of Waynesboro, Sherry Egolf and Carol Hornbaker, both of Mercersburg, PA and Teresa Morningstar of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro with Chaplain Adam Leeper officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, where military graveside honors will be conducted by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse V.F.W. Post #1599, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday evening, in the funeral home.
