Nancy J. Chase, age 72, of Newark, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at her residence. She was born November 15, 1947 in Newark, Ohio to the late Zeke and Minnie (Bowen) Gall. Nancy loved spending time with family and friends, especially quality time with her grandchildren. She was loved by all who were fortunate enough to meet her. Nancy and her sweet personality will be sadly missed. She was a very hard worker holding various jobs throughout her lifetime. Nancy deeply loved life and taking care of her family. She was an avid fan of classic rock and some pop music. A few of her favorite times were fishing and playing games of chance at the casino. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah J. “Debby" (Tom) Fulton and Tamara Lyke; a son, Charles W. Garman; two brothers, Steven (Janet) Gall and Jerry Gall; a sister, Deborah Smith; six grandchildren, Crystal Jackson, Misty Offord, Nancy Lyke, Kyle Lyke, Katelynn Garman and Cristen Garman; and seven great-grandchildren, Jaymison, Lukas, Elizabell, Leland, Justyce, Alan and Noah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Chase; a nephew, Ronald Gall (2020); and a brother, Samuel Gall No calling hours or services will be observed.
