Kevin Gerard Martin Shelburne/Glace Bay Kevin Gerard Martin, age58 passed unexpectedly at home on September 29th, 2020. Born November 19th, 1961 in Glace Bay to Bob Martin and Karen (McMullin) Martin. Growing up in Glace Bay Kevin was always a hell raiser who enjoyed keeping everyone on their toes. After many bouts of excitement, he found the love of his life and settled into family life. Kevin was passionate about helping support troubled youth, aiding others in need, and most of all his children. When Kevin became a widowed father, he made sure to take care of his children and inspire them to reach their full potential. He will be remembered most for his volunteer work, being an amazing father, and always being the person who would listen. Kevin is survived by his four children, Meghan Martin, Robert Martin, Katherine Martin, and Athena (Matt) Stevens, grandchildren, Andrew and Adam Stevens, mother Karen (Martin) Nolan and sister Cindy (Brent) MacDonald, nephews Liam and Neil McDonald. He was predeceased by his father, Bob Martin, and wife Robyn (Dittler) Martin. A Memorial service has taken place in Shelburne. Burial will take place in Glace Bay at a later date.
