Linda Murray Obituary

Linda Murray

Williston, VT

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Murray, 74, of Williston, Vermont, on October 10, 2020 at the McClure-Miller Respite House in Colchester.

Linda was born September 30, 1946 in Burlington, Vermont.  Linda grew up in Burlington, worked at IBM in Essex until she moved to Fort Myers, Florida.  In recent years Linda returned to Vermont to spend time with her family and friends.

Linda had a passion for all animals.  Having many pets throughout her lifetime, Linda spent countless hours with her 3 beloved cats Shadow, Lucy and Nugget, which she has left behind.

Linda enjoyed time spent with family and friends. At a moment’s notice Linda was always willing to take a trip to the casino with her daughter and the girls for a night of fun and laughter.

Linda’s children will forever cherish the time spent together at the McClure-Miller Respite House.  We would like to thank the staff for the exceptional care and love they gave not only to our mom but to us as well.

A special thank you also to the UVMMC MICU and McClure 5 staff.

Linda was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Margaret Comstock and siblings Joyce Bently, Gordon Comstock, Jr. and Darlene Comstock.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her daughter Brenda and husband John Roberts of Milton, her son Norman Morrill and wife Lauren of Monkton, her sister Dawn McGinnis of Essex, Charles Bentley and Erin Bentley of Great Bend Kansas, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her 3 furry loved ones Nugget, Shadow and Lucy.

There will be no services at this time.

Memorial contributions can be made in Linda’s honor to the McClure-Miller Respite House @ uvmhomehealth.org or by mail to the McClure-Miller Respite House, c/o UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice, 110 Prim Road, Colchester, Vermont 05446 or to the ASPCA, P.
