Verma Joyce Linebaugh, 77, of Ottumwa died at 7:32 a.m. October 12, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa. Joyce was born December 15, 1942 in Hoxie, AR to Ralph and Agnes Kildow Pickney. She married Everett Lee Linebaugh Jr. on June 4, 1976 and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2018. Growing up in Arkansas, Joyce moved to Ottumwa in 1969. She worked as a waitress at JB Restaurant, East End Café and Heady’s. Joyce also enjoyed visiting and taking care of others. Joyce enjoyed bowling and she and her husband enjoyed riding their motorcycles with friends. She was a member of Bethel United Pentecostal Church now New Life Church. Surviving are her children, Terry (Robyn) McNelly of Powhatan, AR, Kevin (Rachel) Pickney and Rhonda Pickney both of Ottumwa; 6 grandchildren, Charles McNelly, Rose Krug, Katie McNelly, Brandon Pickney, Jeremy Bendy and Jessica Hon; 31 great-grandchildren; siblings, Delbert (Sammie) Pickney and Melvin (Rhonda) Pickney all of Walnut Ridge, AR, Darrell (Faye) Pickney of Hoxie, AR and James (Cindy) Pickney of Springdale, AR. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gilbert, Ralph Vernon and Harold Boyd Pickney Limited open visitation will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday October 15th at Reece Funeral Home.
