Alma Rae Childers

Alma Rae Childers, 84, of Attica, died Monday, October 12, 2020. Alma was born August 25, 1936 in War Creek, Kentucky to Reece and Ida Rae (Morris) Cundiff. She married William T. Childers in 1953 in Wide Creek, Kentucky. Alma was a member of Beulah Church of the Nazarene in Attica. Alma’s passions included her church and her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Alma is survived by her children: William “Junior” Childers of Argentine, Jack (Kim) Childers of Summertown, TN and Chris (Harold) Harrington of Genesee; six grandchildren: Tracey (Shawn), Shannon (Kenneth), William, Amanda (Matthew), Sara (Alex) and Joshua (Kayla); nine great grandbabies: Paightyn, Jace, Colt, Piper Rae, Emily, Cody, Kennedy, Avery and Jordan; siblings: Dwayne Morris and Juanita Stamper and her beloved niece, Sue (Jim) Penyiska. Alma is also survived by her childhood/lifelong friend Ponzella King of Ortonville and two special friends: Carolyn and Diane. She was also survived by many, many beloved nieces and nephews. Alma was preceded in death by her beloved son, Lloyd “Mick” Childers; husband, William T. Childers; and her parents: Howard and Daisy Morris. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Alma’s funeral service will be at 11:00AM Friday, October 16, 2020 at Muir’s.
