Ethel Adeline Bergstein Obituary

Ethel A Bergstein (nee Cohn) passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at the age of 99. She is predeceased by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband Bob. Surviving her are sister, Pearl Green, brother Bernard Cohn, daughter Susan Rowan, son-in-law James Rowan, beloved granddaughter Erica Rowan and numerous nieces and nephews. Ethel grew up in Brooklyn attending PS 130 and helping out in her parent’s, Sadie and Sol’s, candy store. She attended Girls Commercial and went to work for Paramount Pictures after graduation. After marrying Bob in 1946, they called the Washington DC area home. She worked as a comptometer operator at several private companies and the Federal Reserve Board before starting her own inventory calculation business. Together she and Bob owned and operated Clinton Pharmacy in Clinton Maryland considering their many customers both friends and family. After retiring they moved to Heritage Harbour, Annapolis and enjoyed golfing and socializing with new friends. Ethel lived happily at the Annapolitan Assisted Living since 2001. The entire family thanks the staff for their care during her many years living there, especially during her final weeks.
