Maurine LeFan Minter, 92, of Hattiesburg, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at her home. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, with graveside services immediately following at 1:30 p.m. in Moore Cemetery in Seminary. Mrs. Minter was of the Baptist faith. She was the co-owner of L and M Bedspread Outlet for 11 years until 1992 and a cashier at Sunflower, both the Broadway Dr. and Hardy St. locations for 25 years before her retirement in 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, June Virgil Minter, Sr.; one son, June Virgil “Bruddy” Minter, Jr.; three brothers, Elvin LeFan, Tommy LeFan, and Lloyd LeFan; and one granddaughter, Melissa “Missy” Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Helen (Thomas) Applewhite of Purvis and Tammy Sutherland of Seminary; eight grandchildren, Shelly (Mark) Clinton of Brooklyn, Mark Lawless of Tucson, AZ, David Matthew Minter of Hattiesburg, Joseph Ryan Minter of Carnes, Jeremy Scott Minter of Seminary, Jessica Ellis of Seminary, Gypsie Jo Bullock of Seminary, and Summer Minter of Seminary; and 10 great grandchildren.
