Timothy Robert Loviska Obituary

Timothy Robert Loviska, age 70, of Dexter, Michigan, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 after a 4 1/2 year battle with cancer. Tim was born on June 7, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan, but lived most of his life in Ann Arbor. He graduated from Pontiac Catholic High School in 1968. He attended the University of Michigan's School of Engineering and graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from Western Michigan University. He worked at the Detroit Stoker Company for 35 years and for three years at Saxlund International in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, before returning to Michigan. He traveled around the world and never met a stranger.

He was an avid Wolverines fan and bicycling and skiing were among some of his favorite past times.

He married his high school sweetheart, Colleen Cassin, in Pontiac, Michigan on December 28th, 1973. He loved his children, Rob Loviska and Denise (Graham) Sisk; and his beautiful granddaughters, Vivian and Audrey Loviska, very much.

Tim will be missed by many, including his lifelong friend, Jim Bentham; his wife, Beth; and his friends from the Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society, as well as the Detroit Stoker Company. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis (Robyn); sisters, Jean (Rick) Cox, and Peggy (Ken) McLaughlin; brother-in-law, James (Jan) Cassin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James, and mother, Patricia.

The family would like to send a special thank you to One More Moment for their loving care.
