Roberta Lynn Wolfchild
<p style="text-align: justify;">It’s with great sorrow to announce the passing of Roberta Lynn Wolf Child of Siksika Nation on Thursday October 8, 2020 at the age of 51 years.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Roberta was a loving mother, sister, auntie ,grandma, and friend. Roberta loved to write poetry, was an artist, jokester, and was a model with John Casablanca in Calgary. She attended school at Crowfoot school in Siksika and finished high school at Piiks in Calgary. In 1992 Roberta moved to Vancouver and was a waitress at a very busy café. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mother to her two beautiful children Keneisha Wolfchild – Lalibrete (Brad Gloade), and Ricky Wolfchild.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Roberta is remembered by her father Robert Wolf Child, sisters; Tama Blackrider, Monica Wolfchild (Jeff Mcdonald), Karen Blackrider, Juliet Red Gun, Nena Red Gun, grandchildren; Sheldon Shannacappo, Athena Stimson, Isabelle Laliberte – Rider, nieces and nephews; Lawrence Black Rider, Christina Black Rider, Johnny Piea, Jamie Piea, Wynette Sunwalk, Sheldon Sunwalk, Robbi Wolfchild, Justin Backfat, Julian Wolfchild, Katie Jobin, Samantha Wolfchild, uncle Clarence Wolfchild (Jackie Duck Chief), aunties Myrtle Blackrider, Bernice Wolf Child, and numerous cousins.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Roberta comes from a large extended family of the Wolf Childs, Black Riders, Ayoungman, Backfats, Water Chief, Two Horns, Leathers, Cutters, Yellowflys, Low Horns, Spotted Eagles, Black Rabbits, First Riders, Running Rabbits, Big Snake, Wolfears, Turning Robe, McMaster, White Eagle, Maguire, Old Womans, Axe, and Stevens. The family wishes to apologize for anyone missed.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Roberta was predeceased by her mother Hazel Blackrider, her son Christopher Wolfchild, sisters Geraldine Blackrider and Katie Wolfchild, nieces June Sunwalk, Bobbi Sunwalk, and nephews Wacey Red Gun, Zackery Wolfchild. Wake service will be held at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour on Oct 18 at 6pm. Funeral Services will be held at Gordon Yellowflly Memorial Arbour on Oct 19 at 1pm. </p>Obituary
